MP2000iec Series The MP2000iec series are machine controllers featuring Yaskawa’s motion engine integrated within the IEC61131-3 and PLCopen programming standards. The MotionWorks IEC software which uses these standards helps reduce machine development time by allowing code to be easily encapsulated and reused. The MP2000iec series includes single and multi-axis machine controllers available in 1, 4, 8, and 16 axis. The multi-axis controllers are modular stand alone controllers with Ethernet and MECHATROLINK-II network connections. The single axis MP2600iec models are an integral part of the Sigma-5 amplifier and have built analog I/O, digital I/O, and two Ethernet ports. Users can start with a small program on the MP2600 single axis and scale up to a 16 axis control with three modules of I/O on the MP2310iec all within the MotionWorks IEC environment. All MP2000iec controllers have a built in web server which greatly reduces field maintenance time and allows users to load new programs and update controller firmware. In addition, all MP2000iec controllers support the Ethernet/IP and Modbus/TCP (master and slave) protocols, which connect to most PLCs and expanded I/O. Programming is primarily ladder diagram for sequence and motion. The MP2300 is a compact controller, offering three open slots to allow expansion of I/O and connectivity with Ethernet, DeviceNet, and Profibus network options. The MP2200 expands on the capabilities of the MP2300 by providing a larger, more configurable rack system with 9 slots.
